Fishers Brook Culvert

As of 29th March 2013 all major works are now complete and the road is fully open. Some additional landscaping will take place this Autumn to reinstate some lost hedge rows.

Update: 25th September 2012

The road improvement scheme continues;

The scheme involves widening the water course and demolishing and replacing the existing culverts beneath the A429 Stratford Road and Leafield Farm Access Road.

The objective of the scheme is to reduce the risk of flooding on Stratford Road and nearby properties. The contractor

Danaher and Walsh started on site 2nd July with the scheme estimated to be complete Winter 2012. The Stratford Road will remain open during the works. To ensure public safety, a speed restriction of 10mph will be in force between Edgehill Lane and Fishers Court. Traffic lights will also be in operation for the duration of the works. Access to private driveways will be maintained during the works, but the footway/cycleway above the culvert on the East side of Stratford Road will be closed from July untilthe completion of the works.

The footpath between Stratford Road and Shelley Ave will also be closed from Early September to completion. Every effort will be made to minimise disruption and inconvenience during the work.

Works Update: Leafield Farm culvert is now nearing completion; only minor landscaping works need to be finished.

Occasionally temporary traffic lights will be in operation with exact dates to be confirmed.
